Environmental Working Group    Among other things, these folks have posted fifty years of internal chemical company memos, letters, reports and meeting minutes that reveal an industry that continues to this day to mislead the public about toxic chemical hazards and exposures.

Beyond Pesticides     Formerly the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides, they realized that any pesticide use was a misuse.  One of the first anti-pesticide groups. Loads of pesticide related topics.

Pesticide Action Network    Fantastic source for all pesticide related topics. The PAN Pesticides Database contains current information on toxicity and regulatory information.

Rachel Carson Council     Promotes alternative, environmentally benign pest management strategies to encourage healthier, sustainable living. Informs and advises people and institutions about the effects of pesticides that threaten the health, welfare, and survival of living organisms and biological systems. Formerly known as the Rachel Carson Trust for the Living Environment.

Environmental Research Foundation  Sign up for Rachel's Weekly, a great resource for health and environmental information. Check their back issues for more on pressure treated wood, corporate malfeasance in the environmental domain.

Environmental Defense    Formerly known as Environmental Defense Fund. These guys got McDonald's to stop using Styrofoam. Great organization.

GreenPeace   Extremely active international group. Best known for their anti-whaling actions, their site addresses many other global issues. Check out their campaign to get Coca Cola to use non CFC refrigerants.

Natural Resources Defense Council     Outstanding national group. Loads of resources on global warming, all environmental issues.

Sierra Club    The Grand-daddy of all groups and still going strong.
